Man arrested in 2007 Suitland murder

A 36-year-old man is in custody for what police say is his connection to a 2007 killing in Suitland.

Leumus Eric White, of no fixed address, has been arrested in the killing of Taiwan Sadler, 31, Prince George’s County Police say.

The incident happened July 20, 2007, at about 3:40 p.m., when police were called to the 2300 block of Shadyside Avenue for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Sadler suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died at a hospital.

Investigators found that the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument. White fled the area after the shooting, police said.

White was arrested March 21 by the Metropolitan Police Department on unrelated charges. He has been extradited to Prince George’s and is being held on no bond.
