The Anne Arundel County police have arrested a Baltimore man for attempting to photograph people in the women’s bathroom Friday night at a Glen Burnie Toys R Us.

Police said Marcus Travon McCurdy, 22, was detained by police and accused of unlawful surveillance, a misdemeanor.

A woman at the store, at 6711 Ritchie Hwy, told the police that she was using the bathroom at the facility when she looked down and “saw a cell phone under the partition from the neighboring stall.” The police say the man with the phone left the bathroom immediately, but the woman followed him. She then called 9-11 and notified store security.

“We have made prior arrest for similar types of incident but it is not that common,” said Lt. Richard Duvall, of the Anne Arundel County Police. Duvall said McCurdy’s cell phone was seized by police.
