Man dies in SUV crash in Upper Marlboro

An unidentified man died Tuesday in a fatal vehicle accident in Upper Marlboro.

Prince George’s County police said the man was driving an SUV on Croom Road. The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree, and the driver, who was the only person inside, died a short time later at a hospital.

The crash occured at around 2:15 p.m.

Police said that they do not yet know what caused the vehicle to leave the road. They are investigating to learn the identity of the driver.
