A man who was fatally shot Sunday night in Sursum Corda has been identified as a 28-year-old from Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police.

Kuron Calleo was pronounced dead at an area hospital shortly after the 8:20 p.m. shooting.

Police said they responded to calls for gunfire in the first block of M Street NW, between North Capitol and First streets, and found the victim around the corner in the 1100 block of North Capitol Street NW.

The area is just south of New York Avenue and near the new neighborhood called NoMa. Police did not report a possible motive, and no arrests had been made as of Monday.

The shooting was the fourth homicide in the District since Friday night, bringing this year’s total to 115. There were 105 homicides in all of 2014.
