Man takes shih tzu in NE robbery

Call him the puppy thief.

D.C. police said they are looking for a man who stole a three-year-old shih tzu from its owner in Northeast Washington. The dog’s name and a picture were not immediately available from police.

The incident occurred Tuesday around 11:44 p.m. when a man was approached by another man in a green, four-door vehicle at 49th Street and Central Avenue. The second man showed a handgun and robbed the first man of the dog and his property, police said.

Police said the dog has silver, white and brown fur.
