Md. man dies of injuries after head-on crash in Lanham; police investigating

Prince George’s County police are investigating whether alcohol may have been a factor in a car crash that killed a Maryland man earlier this week.

New Carrollton resident Jose Osmin Bonilla, 51, died at a local hospital after suffering injuries from a head-on collision on Riverdale Road in Lanham on Wednesday, police said.

Bonilla’s pickup truck was going east on Riverdale Road about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday but crossed into the opposite lane of traffic, hitting an SUV, police said.

The SUV’s driver was hurt, but the injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Investigators are asking anyone with information on the crash to call 301-306-5640.
