Authorities are looking for a man wanted in a shooting aboard a Metrobus in Southeast Washington last month that left another man wounded.

The Metro Transit Police department said it is seeking any information to help find Bijon Lamont Brown.

According to police, he is wanted in connection with a shooting that happened Aug. 21 around 10:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE.

Police said someone fired at a Metrobus on the W8 route as it was traveling in that area. A man on the bus was wounded. Police have said they do not think the victim was the intended target.

Metro officials, at first, reacted to the violence by proposing to detour buses along that route. But after complaints about the detour, it was canceled. Instead, authorities put a police cruiser along parts of the affected bus route.
