The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with a fatal domestic-related shooting in Ashburn.
The man, Minh D. Nguyen, was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony after the Thursday night shooting. Another man, who authorities did not identify because his next of kin had not been notified, was killed in the gunfire.
Investigators believe Nguyen walked into a townhome in the 44200 block of Sonora Lane around 9:30 p.m. and shot the man, said Liz Mills, a department spokeswoman.
Mills said Nguyen’s ex-wife was returning home with her child as the shooting happened. Two other children were inside the home at the time, she said.
No one else was injured in the gunfire and Nguyen was taken into custody at the home, authorities said.
