Prince William County police found the body of a missing 45-year-old Triangle man in Lake Montclair early Tuesday.
The man, Scott Carl Sentz, was found by authorities shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday. Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the police department, said that an autopsy revealed that Sentz drowned and that there were no signs of foul play.
Sentz was last seen Monday, according to a news release.
The release said Sentz’s family reached out to police at 1:33 a.m. Tuesday and told authorities that the 45-year-old had left a family member’s house in Dumfries around 11 p.m. Monday but had not returned home.
Perok said officers found Sentz’s vehicle in a parking lot by Dolphin Beach Park. Police K-9 and a Fairfax County helicopter found him unresponsive in the lake.
