Montgomery County police have released a composite sketch of a suspect in a rape on the Northwest Branch Trail in the Silver Spring area Monday.

The sketch depicts an Hispanic male who is wearing a baseball cap, who they believe approached a jogger with a knife, forced her off the trail, near Oakview Drive, and raped her about 4:15 p.m. Monday .

Officials also describe him as Hispanic, 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a medium build, medium complexion and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a white t-shirt and black pants. His shirt also may have had a light blue logo on it, police said.

Authorities also announced that a family member of the victim contributed an additional $10,000 of reward money, which doubles the reward amount, for information that leads to an arrest.
