NORAD jet fighters to fly night exercises

The North American Aerospace Defense Command plans to fly jet fighters over the Washington area Monday night and into Tuesday morning, and Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

One aim of the training flights is to hone intercept skills.

Flights are to be between midnight and 5:30 a.m. on each occasion. The flights will be postponed or canceled if the weather is bad.
