One killed, 3 injured in Pr. George’s car crash

A passenger in a car was killed Monday night in Prince George’s County when a car swerved across the center line of a road and collided with an oncoming vehicle, the police said.

The person killed was in a northbound car that went out of control and entered the southbound lane of Ritchie Marlboro Road, said Officer Nicole Hubbard, a county police spokeswoman. Three other males were also in the northbound car.

Injuries to the driver and the two other passengers were not believed to be life-threatening, Hubbard said. The driver of the southbound car was not seriously hurt, she added.

The crash occurred about 7:10 p.m. near Brown Road in the Upper Marlboro area, Hubbard said. The cause was not immediately known.
