One man dead after incident between roommates in Sterling leads to shooting

One man is dead after an altercation between two roommates ended with a shooting early Sunday in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s office.

Loudoun County authorities are investigating the shooting death that occurred around 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the 45500 block of Trestle Terrace in Sterling.

The sheriff’s office said they responded to reports of a shooting involving two adult male roommates who were in an altercation. One of the men was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he died. The sheriff’s office said there was no threat to the community and that the violence was contained to inside the residence. Authorities did not release the names of the two men involved.
