Police arrest suspect in Southwest shooting that injured three men, three women

D.C. police have arrested a suspect in the Aug. 10 shooting in Southwest D.C. that left three men and three women injured.

Police said Leonard Johnson, 21, of Southeast, was arrested Friday evening and charged with assault with intent to kill while armed in the shooting of the six adults.

Police are still searching for a man they have called a second suspect in the shootings: Saeve Edward Evans, 28.

The shootings took place early on the morning of Aug. 10 in the unit block of N Street Southwest.

All victims suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds, with four taken to a hospital and two walking in for medical treatment afterwards.

The investigation is on-going, a police spokesman said.
