Police continue to investigate three fatal accidents

Police continue to investigate three unrelated vehicle fatalities in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties Friday evening, authorities said.

The two crashes in Montgomery involved motorcycles. Kyle Brett Faulkner, 43, struck the curb while driving on University Boulevard West near the intersection of Dennis Avenue around 5and was thrown from his motorcycle. Faulkner, of Beltsville, was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

In a separate incident, a woman was killed in Burtonsville Friday evening when the motorcycle she was riding on collided with a 2007 Honda at the intersection of Sandy Spring Road (Route 198) and Birmingham Drive.

Police responded to the scene around 6:21 p.m. and took motorcycle driver, Carlos Vinicius De Oliveira, 33, to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The passenger on the motorcycle was also taken to the hospital where she died. She was identified as Ebonie Janielle Cray, 30, of Silver Spring.

The driver of the car, Allan Francis Mulligan, 82, suffered a minor injury. His passenger was not hurt.

In Prince George’s County, Gary Lionell Jackson, 62, was killed Friday evening when the car he was a passenger in veered off the road and struck a tree, according to Prince George’s County police.

Police officers responded to reports that a car had crashed in the 11400 block of Lanham Severn Road around 10:15 p.m. No other cars were involved. Jackson died at the scene.

The driver, whose name was not released, suffered minor injuries and the cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
