Police ID man killed in gas station stabbing

Prince George’s County police have identified the man who was fatally stabbed after a fight at a gas station Sunday as 27-year-old David J. Jenkins.

Jenkins and another man were stabbed at a gas station on Brightseat Road and Central Avenue in Capitol Heights, police said. Afterwards, both drove to a neighborhood a few minutes away on Meadow Way, where police were called about 6:30 p.m, authorities said. Jenkins, a Landover resident who lived near the gas station where the fight occurred, then died. The other victim, who has not been named, was wounded but survived.

Jenkins’s family could not be immediately reached for comment.

Police are investigating the stabbings and are offering a cash reward for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment connected to Jenkins’s killing. Those with information can call 1-866-411-TIPS.
