Body found in Anacostia River

D.C. police said they are investigating after a body was found in the Anacostia River near the 11th Street Bridge.

Authorities said a jogger discovered the body shortly before 6 a.m. and called police. The body was that of a while male in his 40s or 50s, and was fully clothed. Police said there did not appear to be any trauma, though a cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Police have not yet identified the man.
