Police seek two in attempted sexual assault, robbery of juvenile

D.C. police are seeking two men in connection with an attempted sexual assault and robbery of a juvenile girl that occurred late Wednesday afternoon in Northwest Washington.

The attack occurred abut 5:30 p.m. behind a line of houses in the 7400 block of 9th Street NW, in Takoma, near the Maryland line, according to police.

Authorities said the juvenile was walking in the area when two men approached her. One shoved her to the ground and tried to sexually assault her, police said, while another took items from her, police said. Authorities did not provide the age of the victim.

Police described one man as black with a dark complexion standing 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing colored pants, a black jacket, black skull cap and black glasses. Police did not have a detailed description of the second man.
