A 60-year-old man died Friday after being robbed and beaten earlier outside a convenience store on Capitol Hill, the D.C. police said.

They said they were listing the death as undetermined, until a determination on cause and manner is made by the medical examiner’s office.

the man was identifijed as Carlton Coltrane, 60, of Southeast Washington

Police said he was robbed and beaten Tuesday both inside and outside a convenience store in the 400 block of 8th Street SE, a stone’s throw from the Eastern Market metro station.

Police sid they are trying to identify two people whom they described as persons of interest. The attack occurred about 12:35 a.m. Capt. Robert Alder, head of the homicide unit, said it occured at a 7-Eleven store. It began inside and continued outside, he said. ,
