Man fatally shot by police in Southeast

D.C. Police said they are investigating a fatal shooting Sunday night involving a police officer.

At about 10:10 p.m. Sunday in the 4500 block of C Street SE, police responded to a call of a man with a handgun. When officers arrived on the scene, they found 33-year-old Isaac Little displaying a gun. According to police, Little was ordered to put down the gun but refused. One of the officers then shot him, police said.

Little was transported to a local hospital, police said where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
