A pregnant woman who was reported to be in labor was held up at gunpoint in Annapolis early Sunday, authorities said.

Annapolis police said they were alerted about 4:30 a.m. by a 911 call reporting that the woman and a man were being held at gunpoint in the 1800 block of Copeland Street.

Arriving police saw the robbers flee. They arrested two people after a chase, police said.

The woman was taken to the Anne Arundel Medical Center. Her condition could not be learned immediately. It was not known what if anything was taken.
