A 22-year-old Hyattsville man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal stabbing in Cheverly Thursday night, according to Prince George’s County police.
Thaddeus Desean Bailey was arrested in his home on 54th Avenue in Hyattsville, Maryland and charged with first- and second-degree murder in the death of Duvaughn Ganeous, 46, of 56th Avenue in Hyattsville.
Patrol officers responded around 10:45 p.m. on May 1 to the 5400 block of Annapolis Road in Cheverly, Maryland for reports of a stabbing. Police found Ganeous “suffering from trauma to the upper body” and apparent stab wounds, according to police. He was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after.
The stabbing stemmed from a fight between Bailey and Ganeous earlier in the evening, police said.

Bailey is being held at the Department of Corrections without bond.
