Prince George’s County police said they are investigating the killing of a woman inside her Landover home Monday.

Authorities said the woman, identified by county police as Shauntelle Marie Lewis, 36, was found unresponsive after 9 a.m. with trauma to her body at her house in the 6800 block of West Forest Road. Police are investigating her death as murder, said Officer Harry Bond, a police spokesman.

A relative found the woman, who was pronounced dead on the scene, said Cpl. Maria McKinney, a police spokeswoman. McKinney said the death is not related to any other county homicide investigation.

Detectives are canvassing the woman’s street for clues, authorities said, and there were no signs of forced entry into the home.

Investigators did not release the name of the woman or further information about her death.

Police said a reward of up to $25,000 is available in the case. Contact the Prince George’s County Police Department at (301) 772-4910.
