Prince George’s County Police search for clues in Suitland homicide

Prince George’s County Police are investigating a homicide in Suitland.

Officer Nicole Hubbard, a department spokeswoman, said officers found a man in the 4700 block of Huron Avenue at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. The man, she said, had “trauma to his body” and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hubbard said officers were called to the area for an assault before they discovered the victim, who was not identified.

Authorities believe there may be more than one crime scene, said Cpl. Maria McKinney, another department spokeswoman.

Police closed Silver Hill Road between Suitland and Swann roads during the investigation. Silver Hill Road later reopened, while Suitland and Swann roads remained closed as of 6 a.m.
