Prince George’s police charge Oxon Hill man with first-degree murder

A 24-year-old Oxon Hill man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man found slain in a car, authorities said Friday.

Prince George’s County police charged Odell Quarles III with first-degree murder and other related charges a day after finding 35-year-old Vincent Toussaunt Kyler dead in Oxon Hill, police said.

At around 5:15 p.m. on April 2, police responded to a call in the 600 block of Audrey Lane, authorities said. When they arrived, they found Kyler suffering from a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead on the scene.

Police arrested Quarles the next day in a house in the same area where Kyler was found dead, according to a statement from Prince George’s County police.

Detectives believe Kyler’s shooting may have been drug-related, authorities said.
