Prince George’s police investigate pedestrian death in Hyattsville

Prince George’s County police are investigating the weekend death of a man who died after he was struck by a car in Hyattsville.

Bruce Coppage, 30, died Saturday at the hospital after he had walked into the path of a car travelling south on Ager Road off of Queens Chapel Road at about 3:45 a.m., police said.

Investigators believe Coppage was not in a crosswalk, police said. The driver, who has been cooperating with authorities, stayed on the scene with Coppage. Coppage didn’t have a fixed address, police said.
