Same guy? 3 armed robberies reported in D.C.

Three armed robberies, all possibly carried out by the same person, were reported within an hour early Sunday in three fashionable sections of the District: Georgetown, the West End, and the Dupont Circle area.

The robbery in the West End was reported at about Sunday morning, in the 2200 block of M Street NW. The Georgetown robbery was reported about 15 minutes later, in the 3100 block of N Street NW.

At 12:45 a.m. a robbery was reported south of Dupont Circle at 19th Street and Jefferson Place NW.

No injuries were reported and it was not clear what was taken.

The descriptions in all three, while not identical, bore strong similarities. All were of a black man in his 30s with facial hair. His height was estimated at five feet five to five feet seven inches. All three said he had a gun.

Two accounts said he carried a white plastic bag.
