Several shots were fired at a Leesburg residence Friday evening, according to the Leesburg Police Department.
Police responded to report of gunshots around 5:15 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Burnell Place, where a homeowner said that an unknown person had driven past the house and fired several shots into the residence, according to police.
Officers who responded to the scene found bullet casings in front of the house, as well as damage where several bullets had struck the home, authorities said. There were no injuries reported, according to police.
The incident remains under investigation, and authorities said they believe it was an isolated incident posing no immediate threat to the community.
