Suspect arrested in Taco Bell shooting in Falls Church

A suspect was arrested early Sunday in the shooting of a man last Saturday in a Taco Bell parking lot in Falls Church.

Falls Church resident James Moore Jr., 32, was charged in the shooting of Carlos Gonzales, 23, of Arlington.

Susan Finarelli, a spokeswoman for the city police, said that Moore was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, attempted robbery, using a gun during a felony and possession of a firearm as a previously convicted felon.

Gonzales was shot four times in the chest and abdomen in the parking area of the Taco Bell on West Broad Street. Police said the two acquaintances met at the restaurant after hours. An argument ensued, and Gonzales was left shot and bleeding on the asphalt. Gonzales is expected to recover from his wounds.
