Two men killed in one-car crash in Gaithersburg

Montgomery County police are investigating a single-car crash that killed two men early Sunday morning in Gaithersburg.

Police said that the driver and a front-seat passenger of a 2003 Ford Explorer were killed about 4:24 a.m. when the southbound vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes of Woodfield Road before going off the road, striking a tree and flipping over in the 22200 block of Woodfield Road. The driver and front-seat passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A third man, a back-seat passenger, called 911. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police did not identify the victims, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 240-773-6620.
