Vehicle fire closes part of I-270 in Montgomery

All southbound lanes of Interstate 270 in Montgomery County were closed for hours Sunday night after a vehicle caught fire near Exit 16 at about 8:30 p.m., the state highway administration reported. Those lanes remained closed after 11 p.m.

Part of the northbound lanes were also closed. The fire was caused by a blown tire, officials said.
