A vehicle crashed into a CVS in Prince George’s County on Monday morning in what police describe as an attempted burglary.

Corporal Nate Lewis, a Prince George’s police spokesman, said that the driver hit the store at about 3 a.m. on Monday with the intent of taking the store’s ATM. The ATM was still in place, and police were investigating to see whether anything else was stolen.

Lewis said that building inspectors were working to determine whether the store was structurally sound at about 5:15 a.m. The store, which, according to its Web site, closes at 10 p.m. on Sundays and opens at 7 a.m. on Mondays, was closed during the crash.
