Waldorf man dies after car hits utility pole in Prince George’s County

A Waldorf man died in a car crash early Sunday after he lost control of his car and hit a utility pole, authorities said.

Prince George’s County police said 26-year-old Asa M. Hernandez died after the crash in Fort Washington near Livingston Road and Washington Lane.

An initial investigation shows that speed may have been a factor in the crash, and Hernandez was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
