Woodbridge man dies in hospital after being struck by a car

A 27-year-old man has died after he was struck by a car while attempting to cross a Dale City road on March 29.

David Fitzhugh Mann III, of Woodbridge, was crossing Minnieville Road about 8:16 p.m. when he was struck by a 2009 Nissan Murano, Prince William County police said. He was taken by helicopter to an area hospital, where he died Thursday, five days after the accident.

The driver, a 57-year-old Alexandria resident, remained at the scene, police said. She was the only person in the car.

Speed, alcohol and drugs are not factors of the investigation, police said. Police are still investigating which party had the right of way when the collision occurred.

As of Friday afternoon, no charges had been placed.
