Worker gets stuck in mud after heavy rain, firefighters pull him free in College Park

A worker got stuck in mud at a construction site in College Park on Tuesday after hours of rain, authorities said.

The Prince George’s County fire department extricated him from waist-deep mud at Route 1 and College Avenue, said fire spokesman Mark E. Brady. The man did not appear injured, Brady said.

A total of more than an inch of rain fell in Washington on Sunday and Monday.
