Police identify man found fatally shot

The man found slain in a car that crashed in the District last week was Roshaine Henry, 24, police said. They said they did not know his address.

Police have said the man was found after a crash Wednesday in the 900 block of Madison Street NW after being shot nearby.

Man is stabbed at Northeast restaurant

A man was stabbed Friday night in a restaurant and lounge in the H Street NE corridor, D.C. police said.

They said the stabbing followed an altercation at the Twelve Restaurant & Lounge at 12th and H streets NE. The wounds were not life-threatening, police said.

67-degree weather

It seemed a lot like spring in Washington on Saturday, since it was March 8, after all, and the temperature was 67 .

That high reading at Reagan National Airport was 53 degrees above Tuesday’s low reading there and seemed at least a step in the right direction.

Firefighter arrested over fake prescription

A D.C. fire lieutenant was arrested last week in Southern Maryland after allegedly trying to fill a forged prescription at a pharmacy in Charlotte Hall.

Henry Claggett Dent, 35, of Leonardtown, Md., was charged with drug possession, obtaining a prescription by fraud and possessing a forged prescription after his arrest Thursday, court records show. Authorities said they seized oxycodone pills.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said that Dent was in uniform when he was arrested. The fire department said he was placed on administrative leave.

A relative of Dent’s declined to comment. No attorney was listed in online court records.

Police rush to mall after gunfire reported

Police rushed Saturday night to a movie theater at a mall in Anne Arundel County after gunshots were reported.

County police said they found no sign of gunfire at the Cinemark Theater at the Arundel Mills Mall but that firecrackers may have been set off. Two injuries were reported as patrons hurried out.

Teenagers charged over online photos

Three students in the Prince William County schools were charged Friday with computer harassment after allegedly posting explicit photos of other students, authorities said.

The two boys and a girl asked for images that their classmates took and sent voluntarily, said a county police spokesman. He said it was unclear if classmates permitted the posts.Police said it seemed that the pictures were not taken on school grounds.

Clerk shot in the head at convenience store

A store clerk in Spotsylvania County was shot in the head and wounded early Saturday by a man who pretended to be a customer, authorities said.

The sheriff’s office said the man stole items from the Fas Mart store.
