Democrat Terry McAuliffe is solidly ahead of Republican Ken Cuccinelli II with a week to go in the 2013 Virginia governor's race. McAuliffe leads or runs about evenly with Cuccinelli on all the major issues confronting the commonwealth. Part of Cuccinelli's trouble is the increasingly hostile attitude toward the Republican Party among voters. Read related article.

Source: This Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone Oct. 24-27 among a random sample of 1,251 adults in Virginia, including users of land lines and cellphones.
