Cleveland Wright spent 28 years in prison for murder and was paroled in 2007. He has asked a judge to declare him innocent after DNA test results last year exonerated Santae Tribble, his co-defendant.
Aug. 18, 2013 Cleveland Wright, 55, of D.C., makes his way to church, the Resurrection Church of God in Christ. Wright seeks to clear his name after serving more than 27 years in prison now that DNA tests last year exonerated his co-defendant in two similar 1978 murders. Wright was a gun dealer, dice player and childhood friend of Santae Tribble. He found religion in prison and now quotes scripture from two marked-up Bibles his mother sent him.
