Man fatally shot in Southeast D.C.

D.C. police are investigating the shooting death of a 35-year-old District man in Southeast early Saturday, police said Sunday.

Police said Derrick Eugene Williams, of Southeast, was killed in early morning incident in the 12oo block of Eaton Road SE.

Police responded to a report of gunfire at 12:27 a.m., and found Williams with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, police said.
