Fairfax County adopt a pet

3 Luke is available from the Fairfax County animal shelter. Chip is available from the Humane Society of Fairfax County. Smoke is available from the Fairfax City animal shelter.

The Fairfax County Animal Shelter, 4500 West Ox Rd., makes animals available for adoption by residents of Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun and Prince William counties, as well as Vienna, Fairfax City, Falls Church and Alexandria. More animals can be seen at www.petharbor.com. Animal viewing and adoption hours are noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The shelter is closed on holidays. The Fairfax City Animal Shelter is at Town and Country Animal Hospital, 9836 Fairfax Blvd. Call 703-273-2110 or visit www.fairfaxva.gov and click on “Animal Control” under the police department’s main page.

The City of Fairfax Animal Control Division in conjunction with Pets Bring Joy Animal Rescue will hold an animal adoption clinic Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Town and Country Animal Hospital. 703-385-7919
