Dog bites woman: Summerchase Ct., 1500 block, 3:30 p.m. Nov. 21. A Bermese mountain dog bit a woman walking on a path, causing minor injuries. The dog could not be found.
Dog bites delivery man: Hancock Forest Tr., 3600 block, 7 p.m. Nov. 23. A resident opened the door for a delivery man, and two dogs ran out. One bit the delivery man on the leg, causing a minor injury.
Dogs bite jogger: Waggaman Cir., 1400 block, 3:15 p.m. Nov. 24. Two Maltese dogs bit a jogger on the leg, causing minor injuries. A McLean woman was charged with no dog license, and the dogs were placed under quarantine.
Dogs on the run: Old Lee Hwy. and Country Hill Dr., Nov. 26. Someone reported two dogs running in the neighborhood. Animal control returned them to their owner, who was charged with failing to obtain dog licenses.
Beagle on the run: Burrows and Warwick Avenues, Nov. 28. A beagle mix, running in the neighborhood, was taken to the shelter. It was released to the owner.
Cat euthanized: Poplar Leaf Ct., Nov. 23. A cat showing neurological symptoms was taken to the city’s shelter. The cat’s condition deteriorated, and it was euthanized. The cat tested negative for rabies.
Injured deer in yard: Springwood Ct. NE, 300 block, 2:10 p.m. Nov. 24. Residents called about an injured deer lying in his back yard. The deer could not be saved.
Cat bites employee: Park St. SE, 100 block, 5 a.m. Nov. 26. A cat bit an animal hospital employee as she attempted to place it in a cage.
