“Who done it?”: Ford Rd., 10300 block, Dec. 23. A woman’s dog got into a fight with three other dogs at a neighbor’s house when the woman was delivering cookies. One dog bit the woman’s thumb as she tried to separate the animals. All four had current rabies vaccinations. Ten-day home quarantines were ordered for all of the dogs.

Dog stops collection: Joyce St. and Jones Dr., Dec. 30. City trash crews reported that they were unable to pick up trash in the area because of an aggressive dog running loose. The dog’s owner was issued a summons.

Concerned neighbors: Roberts Rd., 4000 block, Dec. 30. Animal control officers responding to a report about a barking dog whose owners were not seen for several days discovered a basement door ajar where the dog had escaped, and then re-secured the door, leaving the animal with food and water. An officer learned that a relative was stopping by to care for the animal.

Stray cat bites pedestrian: Singleton Cir., 3100 block, Dec. 24. A cat ran up to a woman who was walking with her husband and bit her on the leg. She began post-exposure rabies vaccinations.
