Playing hard: Center St., 10500 block, Feb. 2. A 57-year-old woman was bitten on the arm by her cat while playing with him. The cat was placed under a 10-day quarantine.
Owner claims runaway: Westmore Dr., 1100 block, Feb. 8. A Yorkshire terrier was found running loose and taken to the shelter.
Wandering puppy: Old Lee Hwy., 3700 block, Feb. 10. A mixed-breed puppy was found wearing a leash and running loose near a school. It was taken to the shelter.

Cat reacts: Park St. SE, 100 block, 12:15 p.m. Feb. 9. An animal hospital employee was bitten by a cat while attempting to perform a medical procedure. The owner was informed of the quarantine process.
Deer could not be saved: Ayr Hill Dr. NE, 400 block, 2:17 p.m. Feb. 13. Responding to a call about a deer that was stuck in a tree, animal control found the animal suffering from a serious injury.
