FAIRFAX CITY

Dog bites man’s face: Brookwood Dr., 3000 block, July 3. A dog wearing a medical cone bit the face of a man who was playing rough with the animal. The dog was ordered to be quarantined at home for 10 days.

Toddler gets bitten: Terry St., 1000 block, July 3. A 2-year-old was bitten in the face when she got between two dogs who were playing rough. The dogs were quarantined at home for 10 days.

Black bear spotted in neighborhood: Berritt St., 4000 block, July 4. A young black bear was seen walking through yards. It walked back into the woods later in the day.

Dog bites woman while battling for treat: Plantation Pkwy., 3000 block, July 5. A woman was bitten on the wrist when two dogs were attempting to eat a treat. The dogs were quarantined at home for 10 days.

VIENNA

The following was reported by the Vienna Police Department. For information, call 703-255-6396.

Dog bites dog on walk: Albrecht Cir., 300 block, 9:11 p.m. July 2. During a walk, a dog being walked was bitten by another dog. The dog walkers exchanged information. Both animals were current on their vaccines.
