Long way from home: Tedrich Blvd., 3900 block, July 26. Animal control picked up a dog that was found in a neighborhood. It was reunited with its owners, who were visiting from another state.
Guest tested: Ardmore Pl., 4000 block, July 27. Animal control removed a bat from a home. The animal tested negative for rabies.
Dog claimed: Walnut and Main streets, July 30. Animal control picked up a dog that was found in the area and took it to the shelter.
Blown away by a storm: Sager Ave., 3500 block, Aug. 3. Animal control picked up a fledgling bird in a parking lot. The bird was examined and returned to its nest.
Owner sought: Kingsley Rd. SW, 100 block, 4:13 p.m. July 30. An officer picked up a dog that was wandering in the area. The officer took the animal to the shelter.
