Mosby Woods Dr., 10000 block, 1:35 p.m. Feb. 17. During an argument, a woman threatened a woman at knifepoint. A 51-year-old Fairfax City woman was charged with assault.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Fairfax Blvd., 9600 block, 1:22 a.m. Feb. 19. A man fled a cab without paying the fare. A 28-year-old Fairfax area man was charged with defrauding a taxi driver and with public drunkenness.

Fairfax Blvd., 9600 block, 2 to 6:46 p.m. Feb. 16. Spare tires were stolen from four vehicles at an auto-dealership storage yard.

Fairfax Blvd., 10400 block, 11 p.m. Feb. 14 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15. A wheel and a tire set, wheel center caps and the spare tire cover assembly were stolen from a vehicle at an auto dealership.

Main St., 9400 block, 1:30 p.m. Feb. 15. A purse containing cash, gift cards, credit cards and a cellphone was stolen from a shopping cart. A credit card was used to make an unauthorized purchase in the District.

Main St., 9600 block, 5 p.m. Feb. 8. A briefcase containing an iPad, a cellphone, a tablet computer and other property was stolen from a shopping cart.

Main St., 9600 block, 8:40 p.m. Feb. 15 to 10:38 Feb. 16. A male and a female stole a laptop computer from a store.

Main St., 10300 block, 7:15 p.m. Feb. 16. A credit card was used to make unauthorized purchases at a store.

Norman Ave., 10800 block, Feb. 13. A buck knife was stolen from a vehicle.

Oakwood Dr. and Maple St., 5:21 a.m. Feb. 15. An off-duty police officer saw a man acting suspiciously inside a parked vehicle. An investigation determined that he had taken a wallet from the vehicle. A 20-year-old Fairfax City area man was charged with petty larceny.

Old Lee Hwy., 3200 block, 1:24 p.m. Feb. 13. Merchandise was purchase from a store at a discount, then returned for a full-price refund. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man, an employee of the store, was charged with embezzlement.

Sager Ave., 10300 block, 9:39 p.m. Feb. 16. A GPS and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. The vehicle owner identified a suspect, who was detained nearby. A 16-year-old Fairfax City male was arrested on charges that included grand larceny.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Carol St., 10500 block, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 12 to 7:28 a.m. Feb. 13. A 2001 Ford Expedition was stolen from the driveway of a residence using keys that had been left inside.

VANDALISM

Burrows Ave., 3400 block, Carol St., 10500 block, Norman Ave., 10600, 10700 and 10800 blocks, Oak Pl., 10600 block, and Winston Pl., 3500 block, Feb. 12 to 13. Cellphones, GPS devices, cash, a camera and a radio were among property stolen from eight unlocked vehicles. Sixteen other unlocked vehicles also were searched during overnight break-ins
