Little River Tpk., 6300 block, 7:40 p.m. May 8. Two men assaulted a 53-year-old man as he walked out of a fast-food restaurant and robbed him of cash. The two men fled on foot with a third man.

Williams Lane and Columbia Pike, 9:30 p.m. April 30. Three men, one with a knife, robbed a 43-year-old male pedestrian of cash.

Fairfax Blvd., 9800 block, 12:30 a.m. May 1. A person driving a tank truck compromised a locking mechanism on an underground storage tank and stole a large quantity of waste oil.

ROBBERY

Hine St. SE, 400 block, 8:33 p.m. May 8. A man reported that his son had threatened him with bodily harm if he did not give him cash. The son was charged with robbery and trespassing.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Maple Ave. E., 300 block, 11:06 a.m. May 1. A man terminated a business relationship and was told that it would take 24 hours to prepare copies of his requested documents. The man became angry and took the employee’s cellphone. A 51-year-old Alexandria man was charged with grand larceny.

Maple Ave. W., 100 block, 1:35 p.m. May 2. Diesel fuel was stolen from a gas station.

Maple Ave. W., 400 block, 10:15 p.m. May 6. A business employee heard a loud noise and saw two males exiting a barbershop across the street. The males fled when they saw the employee. Investigation revealed that the barbershop and an adjacent business were burglarized.
