Female with mohawk shoots teenager in DC

A young woman, who police said may be a teenager, was shot and wounded late Friday near Coolidge High School in Northwest Washington, police said.

The shooting occurred about10:40 p.m. at 7th and Tuckerman Streets, police said. They said the victim was conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital.

There was no indication of what led to the shooting. Police said they belived the assailant to be female as well. She was wearing her hair in a mohawk style, they said.
