Fire erupts at BBQ restaurant, forces Wheaton mall evacuation

The Westfield Wheaton Plaza mall in Montgomery County was evacuated Saturday after a fire broke out at the Crisp & Juicy Peruvian rotisserie chicken restaurant.

No injuries were reported from the fire, said county Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham. The mall was evacuated as a precaution and reopened after 2:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Graham said.
