Four-year-old boy found dead in Northeast Washington identified

D.C. police have identified the 4-year-old boy who died on Monday as Kamari Zavon Taylor of Northeast Washington, according to a department official.

Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman, said the cause of Kamari’s death remains undetermined pending the results of an autopsy. The boy was pronounced dead Monday afternoon after being rushed to a hospital after his parents called 911.

Alali said police and paramedics found the boy about 2 p.m. unconscious in an apartment in the 5600 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave. NE. Police have declined to release details of the case; homicide detectives are investigating.
